Intake gate (Picote, Portugal)
The closing structure is a double-curved dam wall with a height of 100 m above the foundation sill. The wall crest is located at an elevation of 480 m above the sea level. The wall crest length is 139 m and its width is 3.45 m. The structure volume amounts to 205,000 m³.
Picote II power station was constructed in 2007. In December 2011, an additional turbine was commissioned. IRS planned the safety gate and the tailwater gate for the turbine inlet and outlet.
